31st March 2008 MERIT conference announced for Saturday 26th April 2008, 10am to 2pm in Newcastle.
The Conference will be on Saturday 26th April 2008 at the Centre for Life in Newcastle from 10am to 2pm. There will be talks, workshops and a chance to meet tutors and representatives from the local universities, Gateshead SCITT as well as the other partners. Refreshments and lunch will be available. 7th March 2008 MERIT website finally complete.
The MERIT website is now complete. All the sections have now been finished and represent five organisations wishing to promote support for black and minority ethnic (BME) individuals thinking about a career in teaching. Although complete, these pages will still be updated with new infromation on a regular basis - so please revist this news section regularly.

The MERIT website is launched today to aid in the work of supporting black and minority ethnic (BME) individuals thinking about a career in teaching. The series of webpages
act as an online presence for MERIT directing prospective candidates to an approriate advisor. At the time of release the Table page and F.A.Q. page were still incomplete.
